Deep Learning Series
Do not miss out on this year’s Deep Learning Series! We are offering a K- 12 course that focuses on reflection, discussion, and collaboration with a focus on the text: Visible Learning for Mathematics: What Works Best to Optimize Student Learning by: John Hattie, Douglas Fisher, and Nancy Frey.
The book will address methods to help teachers design high impact instructional strategies in the mathematics classroom with the goal of increasing the conceptual understanding of mathematics for all students. With so many instructional strategies available, the book will explain how to decide which strategy is best for each phase of the learning cycle.
The book study will hold its first session at the GCCTM mini conference on November 23rd and will conclude at the GCCTM evening meeting on March 12th. Each week, participants will be asked to read and respond to a prompt on Google Classroom. Further details will be discussed on November 23rd. Please contact one of the facilitators if you are unable to make the first session.
Cost: $25 registration fee for GCCTM members and $40 registration fee for non-members which includes a one-year membership to GCCTM.
